Brief History:
Before, it was Libertad Barangay High
School established in 1969.
Concerned citizens of communities made
their concerted effort to create a secondary public school to accommodate
parents and guardians who cannot afford to send their children to private
schools. The move was initiated by former Barangay Captain the late Juan H.
Trespeces, ex-Mayor Jose T. Sison, former principal Santiago V. Eslaban and
Barangay Councils that prompted the Barrio School Charter to provide a public
secondary school. They started the school’s history.
Included in the landmarks of the
school were the first full time teachers, Mrs. Rosalina L. Figueroa and Mrs.
Lolita S. Escara with 72 students enrolled from first year and second year
during the first year of operation
Starting was difficult without school
buildings, campus and no formal set up of high school. At first they occupied
the dilapidated community grandstand in the campus of Libertad Central
Elementary School ( now Surallah Central
Elem. School). During that time the school was directly administered by the
mother school Koronadal National Comprehensive High School ( KNCHS) with
Principal Basilio Baptista.
